² After boarding a ship from Adramyttium, which was going to sail for ports along the coast of the province of Asia, we put out to sea. Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica, was with us.

³ The next day, we put in at Sidon, and Julius treated Paul kindly and allowed him to go to his friends to receive their care. ⁴ From there we put out to sea and sailed on the sheltered side of Cyprus, because the winds were against us.
